Author, composer and musician, Bruce plays the keyboard instruments as well as folk and classical guitar. Using multi-track recording and his MIDI keyboard, he is able to "play" all the instruments of the orchestra, indeed some 600 different voices, creating music from soft solos to full orchestral and choral power.

He is the Executive Director of FASlink, an international organization that deals with medical, legal and educational issues of children and adults prenatally exposed to alcohol. Funds generated by his CDs are used to support FASlink’s work. FASlink is the Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders Internet information, support, advocacy and discussion resource. FASlink maintains an extensive FASD information website and a discussion listserve, serving more than 400,000 people annually with more than 100,000 FASD related documents in a searchable database (the FASlink Archives). The listserv shares 50 to 100 letters daily.
